MICROSAFE Collection and Dispensing Tubes
MICROSAFE collection and dispensing tubes allow for blood sample collection and dispensing from a single plastic tube.
Each tube fills easily to a preset volume using capillary action. No aspiration… no air bubbles… no wasted samples.
Dispense the sample easily by pinching the unfilled portion of the tube. There are no bulbs, dispensers or other mechanical devices necessary.
The MICROSAFE tube is ideal for finger-stick sampling and dispensing of whole blood.
And MICROSAFE collection and dispensing tubes are available in volumes from 5 to 80 microliters. So you can be sure there’s a tube available in the exact size you’re looking for.
MICROSAFE Collection and Dispensing Tubes are perfect for finger-stick sampling. Here’s how MICROSAFE® works: An air vent is strategically positioned on the sidewall of the tube. This allows air to vent automatically, while controlling sample volume.
MICROSAFE® comes packaged in bags of 2,000 tubes with a minimum order of 10,000 tubes. Custom packaging is available at an additional cost.
Using the MICROSAFE Tube
CAUTION! Filling is automatic: Never squeeze the tube while sampling.
Don't squeeze the bulb; MICROSAFE fills by capillary action.
Step 1: Hold the tube horizontally, and touch the tip of the MICROSAFE® Tube to the blood sample. Capillary action will automatically draw the sample to the air vent and it will stop.
Step 2: To expel the sample, align the tip of the tube with the sample target and squeeze the bulb.
If a sample won’t expel, you probably didn't allow for the tube to fill all the way. Touch the tip to the blood sample again and allow it to fill completely. Then align the tip with the sample target and squeeze the bulb.
